Travelers can expect hazardous road conditions Friday morning, especially along mountain passes, the National Weather Service in Pueblo said Friday morning.
The Denver area, foothills and Front Range are still digging out from a large snowstorm on Wednesday and Thursday that dumped nearly 50 inches of snow in some areas.
Deep snow across the Denver area Thursday night created challenges for first responders and other travelers.
In Highlands Ranch, Douglas County Sheriff deputies, Arapahoe Rescue Patrol volunteers and South Metro fire crews shoveled a path through the snow so paramedics could carry a waiting patient to the ambulance for transport to the hospital.
“Road conditions are still severe in several places,” Jeffcom 911 dispatch tweeted Friday morning. “Please stay home if you are able.”
