Major League Baseball’s trade deadline has passed. So who’s the favorite to win the World Series? Depends on who you ask.
Sportsbooks are divided between the Dodgers and the Yankees as the favorite to bring home The Commissioner’s Trophy this year.
BetMGM take the diplomatic approach, giving both teams +350 odds — meaning a $100 bet would win $350 — to win the championship. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Yankees (+330) as a slight favorite over the Dodgers (+350), as does SI Sportsbook (+300 to +333). Meanwhile, Los Angeles has the edge in MaximBet (+325 to +350) and DraftKings Sportsbook (+380 to +425).
The Astros and the Mets are ranked third and fourth, respectively, across the sites. The Padres — who just made a major deal to land Juan Soto — have the fifth-best odds on four of the five sites.
How about the Rockies? They are tied for the league-worst odds on BetMGM (+500,000), Fanduel (+500,000), DraftKings (+200,000) and SI Sportsbook (+50,000). Colorado is tied for the 21st-best odds with the Angels on MaximBet at +50,000.
