The body found Monday in an Englewood alley has been identified as a woman who died of a gunshot wound to the head, the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office said in a news release.
Suany Melgar Almendarez, 41, was found in an alley in the area of South Vallejo Street and West Adriatic Place, Englewood police said in a Monday post on X.
The coroner’s office on Tuesday conducted an autopsy and ruled her death a homicide.
The Englewood Police Department declined to release any other information about the case because of the open investigation, said spokesperson Crystal Essman.
