Denver hosted its 16th annual Marriage Marathon on the steps of the City and County Building on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2024.
This year’s theme was Burnin’ Love, an ode to Elvis Presley, the “King of Rock and Roll.” Officiants included the Honorable Clerk Paul López as Elvis, Denver City Councilwoman Jamie Torres, Denver City Councilwoman Shontel Lewis, and Denver TV legend Anne Trujillo. The Office of the Clerk and Recorder had filled its 30 available registration slots but they opened the event to process walk-ups for the event as they were able.
Additionally, the parent company of the Horseshoe at Black Hawk Casino gave two stay-cation packages for two lucky couples. The stay-cation packages included a night stay in a Junior Suite and $50 toward a meal.
