A man was killed after a Saturday night shooting in Denver.

Denver Police Department announced its investigation of the shooting around 7 p.m. on Saturday, according to a post on social media platform X. A caller phoned the police at 6:40 p.m. after hearing a gunshot, said spokesperson Doug Schepman.

The crime occurred near the 2100 block of North High Street, with an adult male victim found and transported to Denver Health in critical condition, Schepman added. The victim was later identified as Elijajuan Guyton, 23, in a Tuesday X post. Near 11 p.m., Guyton died.
