U.S. 6 has reopened after it was closed in both directions 12 miles west of Golden for a climber rescue.
Crews worked to rescue the climber near mile point 259. 75, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation’s online trip planner website.
The closure extended from U.S. 40 to Colo. 119 near Black Hawk.
