A 47-year-old man driving a Ford F-150 crashed through a Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport fence and hit two unoccupied planes Monday morning.
Investigators believe the driver was experiencing a medical event when he crashed onto airport property at 8:51 a.m., the Colorado State Patrol said in a news release Monday.
The truck hit two small private aircraft and rolled to a stop on the edge of airport property.
The driver was not injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital for an unrelated medical condition, CSP officials said.
No one else was injured in the crash, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
