Award-winning sportswriter and sportscaster Troy Renck will re-join The Denver Post next month as a sports columnist, offering insights on all aspects of Denver sports, from preps to pros.
Renck comes to The Post from KMGH-Channel 7 where he has been a Broncos reporter and sportscaster since 2016 and was named Colorado Sportscaster of the Year in 2019. Loyal Post readers might remember him from his days at the newspaper where he arrived in 2002 to cover the Rockies, a period that included their Rocktober run to the World Series. In 2015, Renck became The Post’s lead Broncos writer and was a critical voice in its coverage of the Super Bowl championship.
The Associated Press Sports Editors gave him their top breaking news award for coverage of Peyton Manning’s retirement.
Renck brings more than 30 years of experience to his new position and a passion for covering sports, doing it fairly — but holding players and coaches accountable.
He replaces columnist Mark Kiszla, who left The Post in January, and joins Sean Keeler as one of two sports columnists for The Post.
