A 26-year-old man is facing murder and attempted murder charges after a weekend fatal shooting in the parking lot of Top Golf in Thornton.
Police on Saturday arrested Victor Salazar-Guarache after the shooting that happened about 12:50 a.m. Saturday in the 16000 block of Grant Street in the Top Golf parking lot.
Bryce Holden, 22, died in the shooting that started after a “disturbance” between the business’s employees, and the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in a Friday news release announced they have charged Salazar-Guarache with first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree attempted murder, as well as a violent crime sentence enhancer.
Salazar-Guarache is scheduled to appear in Adams County court at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 2.
This was the second shooting to happen in the north metro that stemmed from a parking lot argument.
The first shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 8900 block of Harlan Street in Westminster, according to a Westminster Police Department news release. Officers found a man with a gunshot, and he was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police later learned another man was also at a hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds, and Seth Fernandez, 24, was arrested on a first-degree murder charge.
