Emergency responders rushed to an apartment in Centennial where a sport utility vehicle crashed through a wall, then tumbled down a slope and hit another part of the building, triggering a natural gas leak, according to South Metro Fire Rescue officials.
Firefighters extricated the driver of the vehicle, according to an 8:57 a.m. tweet by the agency.
This incident happened off South Jordan Road and East Jameson Drive, the authorities said.
According to the tweet, the driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The building was briefly evacuated and the gas leak has been stopped.
