Two juveniles arrested in a shooting at an Adams County sports bar on Saturday were charged with attempted murder and assault in juvenile court, according to the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
The two juveniles were arrested after Adams County deputies responded to shots fired at the 52Eighty Sports Bar at 7575 Broadway at around 8:30 p.m.
Deputies found five people who had been shot, including the two juveniles, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The first suspect is charged with 14 counts, including four counts of attempted first-degree murder, four counts of first-degree assault, criminal trespass, possession of a handgun by a juvenile and four sentence-enhancing charges for an “aggravated juvenile offender.”
The second suspect is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, possession of a handgun by a juvenile and one sentence-enhancing charge.
No further details about the case were available because it will remain in juvenile court, district attorney’s office spokesperson Chris Hopper said Thursday.
