The death of a 61-year-old woman, who was found in the parking garage at the Streets at SouthGlenn mall, is under investigation and police describe the incident as suspicious.

“Deputies are investigating a suspicious circumstance,” the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said in a 10:59 a.m. Saturday tweet.

The five-story parking garage was closed for a couple of hours Saturday and the sheriff’s office asked the public to stay clear of the area. The mall is located at South University Boulevard and East Arapahoe Road.

At 12:40 p.m., the sheriff’s office said on Twitter the deputies cleared the scene and the parking garage is reopen.

The woman was taken to a hospital where she died, the sheriff’s office said. An investigation is ongoing. The Arapahoe County Coroner’s office will release the name of the victim, as well as a cause and manner of death.
