Construction site manager shoots, kills 2 possible burglars in southwest Denver, police say

A construction site manager on Sunday shot and killed two unauthorized people inside a southwest Denver construction site who were possibly burglarizing the location, according to the Denver Police Department.

The Denver Police Department just after 2:30 p.m. Sunday on X reported the shooting in the 8500 block of West Belleview Avenue in the Marston neighborhood.

Responding officers found two people who had been shot. One of them, a man, died at the scene, and a woman was taken to a hospital and died there, according to the police department news release.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner on Wednesday identified the man as 40-year-old Timothy Walker Jr. and the woman as 37-year-old Patience McFall.

Walker died from multiple gunshot wounds and McFall died from a gunshot wound, according to the medical examiner’s office. Both of their deaths were ruled as homicides.

The shooting occurred at a construction site and police believe the site manager arrived at the location and found the two people inside, possibly burglarizing the location, according to the news release.

A “confrontation” between the two people and the site manager happened, and the site manager was assaulted.

The site manager then pulled out a firearm and shot both people.

He remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to the news release.

The investigation is still open but is in the process of being set to the Denver District Attorney’s Office in the next few days for a decision, Denver police said Wednesday.
