Two RTD light rail lines that were disrupted all of Monday as crews recovered a train that was stuck on the tracks have returned to normal station service, the agency said on social media Monday evening.
The E Line and H Line will continue running on 45-minute trip frequencies for the rest of the day, the RTD said in the post. The temporary bus shuttles have been recalled for the day.
Bus shuttles replaced the E Line starting at 10 a.m. between the Yale and Belleview stations, and the H Line was suspended south of Yale Station during the recovery, according to an RTD news release.
The agency initially hoped to get the E Line back up and running around 2 p.m., but vehicle recovery delays delayed the lines’ reopening until around 5:30 p.m., RTD noted on social media on Monday afternoon.
The train was stuck since Wednesday between the Yale and Southmoor stations.
Officials advised customers to anticipate delays and encouraged them to explore alternate routes on the RTD website if their trips are affected.
