A-Line trips between downtown, DIA will shift on Wednesday so crews can repair concrete

Transit riders who use the A-Line train to reach points east of downtown — and the airport — will see their regularly scheduled service shift next week as crews conduct concrete repairs at the 40th-Colorado station.

A portion of the Regional Transportation District A-Line trains will be single-tracked between 38th/Blake and Central Park stations beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The disruption will continue through Wednesday. Regular rail service will resume on Thursday.

On Wednesday, trains will operate on a 30-minute frequency throughout the service day and will operate on Track 2 between 38th/Blake and Central Park stations. Trains will depart Union Station on the hour (:00) and half hour (:30) marks while trains will depart Denver International Airport at 27 and 57 minutes past the hour.

Five early morning trips on Wednesday will depart 15 minutes earlier than normal at both ends of the line, starting with the 3:45 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. trips out of Union Station, which will leave at 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. instead, respectively.

Likewise, the 4:12 a.m., 4:42 a.m. and 5:12 a.m. trips from DIA will depart 15 minutes earlier than listed.

Customers are encouraged to use RTD’s Next Ride web app to plan their trip, view other options and receive service alerts. When traveling to and from the airport, RTD encourages customers to factor in additional time and prepare for adjusted service.
