Part of RTD A Line to be replaced by shuttle buses Saturday for maintenance

Part of the Regional Transportation District’s A Line light rail train will be replaced by shuttle buses on Saturday for maintenance, according to a Tuesday RTD news release.

Shuttle buses will run between Peoria and Denver International Airport stations from 3:16 a.m. to 6:46 p.m. Saturday while RTD performs maintenances on the Interstate 70 bridge and overhead lines near Peña Boulevard.

Travelers can board a shuttle bus at Peoria Station, gate E, 40th Avenue and Airport/Gateway Park, gate A, 61st/Peña next to the platform and Denver Airport Station, gate 7 for departures and gate 6 for arrivals, according to the release.

A Line trains will operate as scheduled between Union and Peoria stations. Direct rail service to the airport will resume Saturday evening. The first train with uninterrupted service to Denver Airport station will depart Union Station at 7 p.m. Saturday. The first train with uninterrupted service to Union Station departs Denver Airport station at 7:57 p.m., according to RTD.

RTD encourages customers to plan ahead using theNext Rideapp and to allow extra time for bus shuttle transfers to and from the airport.
