A rockslide that shut down a stretch of eastbound Interstate 70 on the Western Slope has been cleared.
Eastbound lanes closed after a Friday night rockslide, between Exit 49, Colorado Highway 65; and the Grand Mesa, U.S. Highway 6 exit, ten miles west of De Beque, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The slide, which included mud and massive stones, happened between 9 and 10 p.m. Friday. No vehicles were damaged during the rockfall and no injuries were reported.
The Interstate fully reopened Saturday night about 9:30 p.m. after crews used drilling equipment to break up the large rock.
