The Rockies series opener against the Mariners on Friday at Coors Field was postponed due to inclement weather.
Friday’s game will be made up on Sunday as a split doubleheader. Game 1 begins at 1:10 p.m., while Game 2 begins at 6:10 p.m. Tickets from Friday’s game will be good for Sunday’s nightcap.
Friday night’s weather in LoDo called for around 35 degrees and cloudy at first pitch, with a chance of one to three inches of snow later in the evening.
Saturday is also supposed to be cold, but the anticipation is the 6:10 p.m. game will be played as the series opener.
Parking lots on Sunday will open at 10:30 a.m. Gate A and Gate E will open at 11 a.m. that day, and Gate B, Gate C and Gate D will open at 11:30 a.m. The stadium will be cleared prior to Game 2, with all gates re-opening at 5 p.m.
Saturday’s pitching matchup

Hudson turned in the worst of his three Colorado outings to date his last time out, as the Blue Jays pegged him for five runs on five hits and three walks over five innings in a 5-3 loss. The good news is, Hudson’s keeping the ball in the yard, as he’s only given up one homer in 17 1/3 innings pitched so far this season. Also, the Mariners have seen very little of him, as only four Seattle players have faced him for a total of 11 at-bats. That unfamiliarity could work in his favor. Castillo, a three three-time all-star who posted a 3.34 ERA last year, is off to a rough start. But he took a step forward in his last outing against the Cubs, with his first quality start of 2024.
Pitching Probables
