Windy weather is expected to impact travel conditions for the rest of the day in Colorado, with speeds from 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 to 55 mph expected.

Nearly 40% of Southwest Airlines’ flights through Denver International Airport were either delayed or canceled as of late morning.

The National Weather Service released a wind advisory warning that winds may cause whiteout conditions. The wind is expected to last until 6 p.m.

Most of the Denver metro area is expected to get another 2 to 5 inches of snow Wednesday after a fresh layer of snow dropped overnight.
