A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday morning in Thornton, according to a Thornton Police Department X post.
At about 6 a.m. Sunday, Thornton police responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian in the 2500 block of East 120th Avenue. The pedestrian, an adult male, had suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene
The roadway closed from Steele Street to Claude Court at 6:40 a.m. while officers investigated. As of 8:45 a.m., only one lane was still closed, according to an update from the department.Â
The driver left the scene of the crash and officials are searching for a gray car with front end damage. Anyone with information should call the Thornton Police Department tip line at 720-977-5069.
