A 28-year-old Northglenn man was killed while riding a scooter in a fatal hit-and-run crash in southwest Adams County on Thursday, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The man was riding a TIFGALOP standing adult electric scooter and turning left from westbound East 58th Avenue onto Logan Court at approximately 7 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle heading east on East 58th Avenue.
The driver of a white Subaru Legacy Outback hit the scooter in the intersection and fled the scene, according to the state patrol. The scooter driver, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital and later died.
The state patrol is looking for a white Subaru Legacy Outback, believed to be a 2004-2009 model, with damage to the left front, hood and possibly the windshield, according to a Friday news release.
The Subaru driver likely continued east on East 58th Avenue and turned north or south on Washington Street, according to the state patrol.
