Northbound Interstate 25 reopened near 144th Avenue in Thornton after a tractor-trailer crash spilled rebar across the highway, according to Thornton police and the Colorado Department of Transportation.
One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash between a tractor-trailer and a truck, Thornton police spokesperson Joe Walker said.
The crash caused the trailer to roll on its side, and cleanup was expected to close the highway for “an extended period of time,” Thornton police said in a post on X at 2:33 p.m.
Three lanes reopened as of 6:15 p.m., according to Thornton police.
Further details about the crash were not immediately available.
