Police seek public’s help in finding Greeley woman missing from Thornton

A Greeley woman is missing and police are asking for the public’s help in finding her. She was last seen in Northglenn, Adams County and Thornton.

Holly Delgado, 49, was reported missing by family to the Greeley Police Department on Feb. 7, according to a police news release. Family members told police that Delgado left home in her vehicle on Feb. 3 without identification, money, or her cellphone and without a change of clothing.

She was contacted, before being reported missing, early Feb. 4 by Northglenn police and her vehicle was moved to a parking lot near West 104th Avenue and Livingston Drive where it remained, the release stated.

About 8:10 p.m. the same day Delgado was contacted by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in the 8300 block of Navajo Street. Sheriff’s deputies found Delgado sitting on a curb with a dog in her lap. Delgado was described as confused — she thought she was in Greeley — and she wasn’t wearing a coat in the cold weather, said Sgt. Adam Sherman. She had no phone, and no identification, so deputies took her to the North Suburban Medical Center for a mental health evaluation and assistance. The dog was taken by Adams County animal control.

The medical center in the 9100 block of Grant Street admitted Delgado and she was discharged the next day, 12:33 p.m. Feb. 5, according to Greeley police. She was not been seen or heard from since.

“North Suburban Medical Center shares the community’s concern in locating Ms. Delgado. We are assisting law enforcement agencies with the active investigation,” the hospital said in a Tuesday statement.

Delgado is described as being 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds with blond or green hair and light-colored eyes.

Anyone who sees Delgado, or who knows of her whereabouts, is asked to immediately call local police, or call Greeley police Det. John Kinne, at 970-350-9630 or email john.kinne@greeleypd.com.
