A 5-year-old boy reported missing after his mother was found shot to death in her Pagosa Springs home was found safe Thursday, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Chrystal Snow, 39, was found shot to death in her Pagosa Springs home the morning of July 2 shortly after someone placed a 911 call from the house.
Her 5-year-old son was later found alive with his aunt in Cortez and was last seen July 16 with his father, the same day state officials were granted emergency custody of him. State officials issued a missing endangered person alert for the boy July 18.
The boy was brought to the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office by his father’s family around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the CBI.
No one has been arrested or charged in the boy’s disappearance, and investigators have not named any people of interest in Snow’s death.
