According to a news release from The Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Kyle William Staebell, 33, threatened the FBI using the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center online tip line. He made another round of threats through social media, while he made threats to the performance art group via email, the release stated.
Staebell appeared before Magistrate Judge James P. O’Hara on Tuesday on a charge of making criminal threats to commit mass violence. The case is under investigation by the FBI Denver Division. Assistant United States Attorneys Andrea Surratt and Laura Cramer-Babycz are leading the prosecution.
