Teen accused of shooting 5 people outside Denver bar is arrested in California

The 17-year-old who allegedly shot five people after she was denied entry to a Denver bar in September was arrested in Barstow, California, on Thursday morning.

Keanna Rosenburgh is suspected of eight counts of first-degree attempted murder, according to the Denver Police Department.

Rosenburgh was outside of a bar in the 1900 block of Market Street on Sept. 16 when she was denied entry, according to Denver police.

After returning to talk to security staff, Rosenburgh walked away a second time, pulled out a firearm and began shooting in the direction of the bar, police said.

Five people were injured in the shooting and all survived their injuries, according to Denver police.

Rosenburgh was identified as a suspect with help from community tips to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers, and the investigation led the department’s fugitive unit to determine she was in Barstow, about 115 miles northeast of Los Angeles.

Denver police were assisted by the FBI’s Los Angeles SWAT Team and Desert Cities Safe Streets Task Force as well as the Barstow Police Department.

Rosenburgh’s arrest affidavit was not released because she is a juvenile, according to Denver police.
