Westbound Interstate 70 near the Genessee exit has reopened after a burning pickup truck ignited dry roadside grass shortly before 11 a.m., authorities said Tuesday morning.
Colorado Department of Transportation officials warned drivers to expect delays. Westbound I-70 traffic was being routed on a detour at Exit 256 for Lookout Mountain. On eastbound I-70, the right lane was open, CDOT officials said in an agency posting on Twitter. CDOT announced in a 12:22 p.m. tweet the interstate was reopened.
