Interstate 70 on Floyd Hill near Evergreen will see full or partial night closures over the next week so construction crews can install new drainage pipes under the highway, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Eastbound I-70 will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday between exit 248 for County Road 65 and exit 247 for Homestead Road, CDOT officials said in a news release.
The same stretch of westbound I-70 will be closed from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. June 10.
Eastbound I-70 drivers can detour by taking exit 247 for Homestead Road, heading east on U.S. 40 to County Road 65 and then reentering I-70.
Drivers on westbound I-70 can detour by taking exit 258 for County Road 65, driving west on U.S. 40 to Homestead Road and reentering I-70.
Two lanes of eastbound I-70 will be closed on Floyd Hill overnight Thursday and one lane will be closed overnight Friday, according to CDOT. Two lanes of westbound I-70 will be closed overnight Sunday and Tuesday and one lane will be closed overnight Friday.
Construction work depends on the weather and may change, state officials said.
