Two days after rival Vail Resorts began selling Epic Passes for the 2023-24 ski season, Alterra Mountain Co. announced early bird prices for next season’s Ikon Passes which go on sale next Thursday.
The cost of an Ikon Pass will be $1,159, which is $250 more than the equivalent Epic Pass. The cost of an Ikon Base Pass will be $829, which is $153 more than the Epic Local Pass. Renewing pass holders will pay $1,059 for the Ikon Pass and $779 for the Ikon Base Pass.
For the second year in a row, the cost of an Ikon Pass will increase by $80. The Ikon Base Pass will cost $60 more. The Epic Pass increased $68, while the Epic Local Pass went up $50.
The price of Ikon’s four-day “Session Pass” for next season will be $439, a $20 increase. Epic is selling four-day passes good at all of their resorts for $375.
Resorts in Colorado where the Ikon Pass is honored include Winter Park, Steamboat, Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Basin, Eldora and the four Aspen areas. The Epic Pass is good at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte and Telluride.
