Interstate 70 has reopened in both directions after closures for cars sliding off the road and a crash, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Eastbound I-70 reopened at 8:30 p.m. after it closed at 7 p.m. near Silverthorne because of vehicles sliding off the road.
Westbound I-70 reopened near Loveland Ski Area at 7:50 p.m. after closing for a multi-vehicle crash, according to CDOT and the Colorado State Patrol.
At least one person was struck by a vehicle while outside of their vehicle and taken to the hospital, said Trooper Gabriel Moltrer. There were also multiple vehicles that slid off the road, including a commercial motor vehicle that was stuck inside the crash area, according to the agency.
