Interstate 25 northbound reopened near Castle Rock after a three-vehicle crash caused a diesel spill and sent three people to the hospital.
The crash was between Castle Rock Parkway and Happy Canyon Road, South Metro Fire Rescue officials said in a post on X.
The northbound lanes were entirely closed after the crash, but all lanes of traffic reopened by 12:29 p.m., according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Two drivers sustained serious injuries, South Metro Fire officials said.
CSP said in a post on X that three vehicles were involved in the crash; all three drivers were taken to the hospital.
South Metro Fire’s hazardous material team cleaned up the diesel fuel by 12:29 p.m, and the Colorado State Patrol is investigating the crash.
