Two people died and a third suffered injuries in a single-vehicle rollover in Highlands Ranch.
The crash happened about 9 p.m. Friday on South University Boulevard near Quebec Street, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver lost control, and the vehicle left the road, going down a steep embankment and crashing into a tree, the sheriff’s office said. Three people were thrown from the vehicle.
Investigators believe excessive speed was a factor. Eastbound lanes of University were closed by the incident and reopened at 3 a.m. An investigation is ongoing.
