A stretch of Colorado 71 on the Eastern Plains is reopen after a liquid tanker hauling ethanol crashed and rolled.
The tanker spilled its “entire load,” and 71 was closed from Limon to Last Chance, the State Patrol said shortly before 1 p.m. CSP advised drivers to find an alternate route.
The stretch of the north-south highway that was shutdown is about 37 miles. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The highway reopened in both directions about 6:45 p.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
