A former soccer coach has been arrested by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office as a suspect in an internet crimes against children investigation.

Howard “Bud” Harper, 63, allegedly uploaded child pornography from an IP address in Arapahoe County, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. He is being investigated for felony sexual exploitation of children.

The sheriff’s office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about the alleged upload of child porn, the release said.

Sheriff’s investigators “discovered that files containing alleged child pornography were being uploaded” and the “files included underage victims ranging in age from toddlers to teens.”

The former coach is employed by the “Real Soccer Club” as an age coordinator, the sheriff’s office said.

A search warrant was executed on Wednesday and Harper was taken into custody. He was booked into the Arapahoe County Jail on 17 counts of investigation of sexual exploitation of children. An investigation is ongoing.
