After Friday’s global technology outage linked to a CrowdStrike update, airlines at Denver International Airport are still working to recover.
Nearly 600 flights were delayed or canceled Saturday at DIA, according to flight tracking data from FlightAware. As of 6 p.m., 152 flights had been canceled and 410 failed to leave on time.
United and Southwest had the most delayed flights Saturday, with 178 United flights and 94 Southwest flights being held up at the gate. Regional airline SkyWest — the airline that operates United Express — delayed an additional 47 flights.
United was responsible for the majority of cancelations Saturday at DIA, according to FlightAware. The airline canceled 129 flights, overshadowing Delta’s 22 canceled flights and one flight canceled by American Airlines.
DIA first noticed an issue Thursday night whenFrontier Airlines announced its systems were being impacted by a Microsoft outage, including booking, check-in, access to boarding passes and some flights.
More than 1,200 flights were delayed or canceled at DIA amid the chaos Friday.
