Denver firefighters on Tuesday rescued a construction worker who had a medical problem about 35 feet high on a building site, deploying a ladder to bring him safely to the ground for evaluation.
Firefighters conducted the rescue around 7:30 a.m. at the site near the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Hooker Street.
The man’s condition wasn’t released. Denver Fire Department Captain John Chism said firefighters typically conduct a couple of these “static pick” rescues each year at construction sites downtown.
