Film on the Rocks will return in June with another tight lineup of blockbusters that marks the popular series’ second year back inside Red Rocks Amphitheatre after pandemic-prompted drive-in screenings.
The 24th season of the series, produced by the nonprofit Denver Film and Red Rocks owner Denver Arts & Venues, features five movies shown on stage at the world-famous Red Rocks for all-ages audiences. Last season was the first since 2019 that screenings were held inside the amphitheater and featured the Film on the Rocks’ usual assortment of live entertainment before each show.
The 2023 schedule begins and ends on handsome notes with Harrison Ford in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (June 12) and Ford again in “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” on Aug. 21. (See the full lineup below.)
Tickets are on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 28, at axs.com. They’re $20 for general admission and $35 for VIP seating.
Gates for each show open at 6:30 p.m. with musical guests taking the stage at 7, followed by the film at 8:30 p.m., organizers said. Performers not already scheduled for pre-show sets will be announced closer to the screenings.
