A 35-year-old man is wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old woman outside Tuscan Heights Apartments in Federal Heights on Saturday, according to police.
Adrian Carracedo-Vega is suspected of homicide in connection with the death of Sachely Diaz at the apartment complex at 1700 W. 85th Ave.
Carracedo-Vega may be heading to Texas or attempting to cross the border into Mexico, according to the Federal Heights Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a woman who had possibly been stabbed outside the apartments at approximately 3:27 p.m., according to a news release from the Federal Heights Police Department.
The woman, who police identified as Diaz on Tuesday, was taken to North Suburban Medical Center and later died, according to the department.
Investigators believe Carracedo-Vega and Diaz knew each other, according to the news release.
