A woman was killed and the condition of a small child remained uncertain early Tuesday after a car crash in Aurora.

One vehicle was involved in the crash near the intersection of South Quentin Way and East Iliff Avenue, Aurora police said in a posting on Twitter.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died, police said. The condition of the child was unknown Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 2:55. a.m.

Police were diverting traffic onto eastbound Iliff Avenue from Peoria Street to Revere Street.
