A woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision Wednesday night on West Colfax Avenue near Interstate 25, Denver police said.

The woman was walking when a car hit her, police said on Twitter about 11:30 p.m., and she died at the scene.

Eastbound Colfax was closed at the Federal Boulevard junction while police investigated the collision.
