RTD train hits, kills pedestrian in late night Denver crash

Denver police were investigating after a crash late Friday involving a commuter line train and a pedestrian turned deadly in the city’s Park Hill neighborhood.

An unidentified man was crossing against warning signals at Quebec Street and Smith Road when the train collided with him, Denver police spokesperson Katherine McCandless said.

Quebec and Smith is serviced by the Regional Transportation District’s A-Line.

Officers responded to reports of the incident about 11:45 p.m. Friday, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, McCandless said.

All delays have been cleared from the area, McCandless said.
