Englewood police are searching for a man suspected of kidnapping and assault after he dragged a woman away by her hair while she was asking for help at a Burger King on Oct. 12.
An arrest warrant for Gilberto Adelaido Cruz, 31, was issued out of Arapahoe County District Court, according to the Englewood Police Department.
A woman reportedly went into a Burger King at 900 West Hampden Avenue in Englewood asking for help. While she was in the restaurant, Cruz came in and dragged her out by her hair and left with her in a black Cadillac Escalade with a damaged passenger side-view mirror, according to Englewood police. The Escalade did not have visible license plates.
Cruz is suspected of kidnapping, third-degree assault, harassment, menacing and violating a protection order, according to Englewood police.
He is described as a white or Hispanic male; 5 feet, 3 inches tall; and approximately 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
