El Paso County deputy sheriff arrested for alleged assault, menacing

An El Paso County deputy sheriff was arrested by Colorado Springs police on Friday on suspicion of assault, menacing and false imprisonment connected to domestic violence.

Marie Lahoff, 33, was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

She is charged with second-degree assault, third-degree assault, menacing and false imprisonment, all related to domestic violence, according to the agency.

Lahoff was hired Oct. 11, 2021, and was assigned to the Detention Security Division. She has been placed on administrative leave.
