Interstate 70 eastbound lanes are reopen through Vail Pass after safety concerns were lifted.
According to the Colorado Department of Transportation’s trip planner website, the lanes were closed from Exit 173, West Vail, to Exit 190, Vail Pass Summit. The website stated that multiple vehicles slid off the road and the closure was necessary to safely clear the area.
The closure was lifted around 1:10 p.m., according to CDOT.
No injuries were reported, according to the Colorado State patrol.
