Flights departing their origin airports for Denver International Airport were grounded for nearly two hours, and more than 700 were delayed as snow squalls blew through the Denver area Tuesday.
The ground stop for departures to DIA was lifted just before 11:20 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Peña Boulevard outbound from the airport was closed at Tower Road on Tuesday morning due to a multiple-vehicle crash.
There are 708 delays, most of which are through Southwest and United airlines, according to airline tracking site FlightAware as of 6 p.m.
Southwest Airlines has 228 delays and United Airlines has 265 delays.
Regional airline SkyWest has 106 delays, Delta Airlines has 26 delays and CommuteAir has 23 delays.
SkyWest also has 12 canceled flights, and Southwest Airlines has one canceled flight.
Over 900 flights were delayed Monday because of high winds.
