Denver weather: Mostly sunny and cooler Tuesday ahead

A pleasant fall day is expected for Denver Tuesday.

The day will be mostly sunny with at high of 69 degrees, with only a slight 20% chance of mountain storms moving into the Denver area.

Patchy fog has developed north and east of Denver, so drivers commuting from those areas should be aware of reduced visibility.

The visibility in a few spots may be reduced to a quarter mile, so drivers should slow down and turn on low beam headlights before entering any fog banks.

A few showers and isolated storms will develop in the mountains Tuesday afternoon and attempt to move into the Interstate 25 Corridor and Palmer Divide in the late afternoon, but any precipitation will be light.

Wind gusts could reach about 15 mph in the evening.

Rain chances have left the forecast for the rest of the week for now, with mostly sunny days ahead through Saturday. Highs will be in the high 60s, and lows will be right around 45 degrees.
