Denverites hoping to get a taste of Colorado, enjoy live music or see chalk artists in action this weekend should plan for warm weather as temperatures may reach up to 95 degrees through Monday.

The above-normal temperatures seen most of this week will continue, as Friday’s high is 92 degrees, with only a 10% chance of storms or showers in the afternoon.

Saturday’s high is sitting right at 90 degrees, and both Friday and Saturday have lows of 60 degrees. Sunday’s high is 93 degrees, with a low of 61 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday could also see some strong wind gusts of up to 17 mph.

Labor Day is expected to be the hottest day of the long weekend, with a high of 95 degrees and a low of 61 degrees.

The rest of the weekend after Friday has almost no chances for storms, but that also may elevate fire dangers through next week.

For Friday, the low relative humidity and spotty wind gusts up to 25 mph will contribute to elevated fire conditions, or near critical conditions in some areas, over the eastern plains in the afternoon.

Marginal winds should limit the threat for critical (Red Flag) conditions, but there may be spotty areas that hit critical thresholds
for a period in the afternoon.

The northeast plains in particular are very dry and have critical fuels reported, forecasters at the National Weather Service said, and almost warrants a fire highlight, but they said they held off on the highlight for now due to the spotty nature of the conditions.

The elevated fire weather conditions can be expected into next week.
