Gusty winds may produce showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, especially over higher elevations in northeast and north central Colorado, according to the National Weather Service.
Denver will be mostly sunny today with a high of 88 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms may roll over the Denver metro area tonight, mostly before 2 a.m., and temperatures are expected to dip to 59 degrees.
Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high near 83 degrees and wind gusts up to 31 mph. Tuesday night will be mostly clear with a low of 56 degrees and 28 mph gusts.
Summer heat will continue on Wednesday and Thursday with highs around 89 degrees. Friday may reach 93 degrees, and showers and thunderstorms may return to the Denver Metro area after noon Friday through Sunday.
Tuesday will be breezy and dry for much of northeast and north central Colorado, with high winds and 40 mph or higher gusts in the Front Range Foothills and near the Wyoming border.
Summer heat and high temperatures around 90 degrees are expected across the plains and I-25 Corridor for much of this week. Dry conditions will continue Tuesday through Thursday with no chance of rain.
Temperatures may cool this weekend, with a slight chance of showers and storms by Friday.
