Champions should look the part and Nuggets nation is gearing up.
On Monday night, Nuggets splashed NBA Finals gear, shirts and hats on the home floor of the Los Angeles Lakers after clinching the Western Conference finals with a four-game sweep of the series. It’s the first Western Conference title in Nuggets’ history and the first time Denver advances to the league championship series.
So where can fans get the gear they watched the celebratory Nuggets wear while they flashed smiles and exchanged embraces and high-fives after the game in Los Angeles?
A wide assortment of Western Conference Championship gear is being sold online at altitudeauthentics.com presented by Ball Arena, as well as at the Team Store location at Ball Arena. The team’s store is open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Dick’s Sporting Goods is also selling western champions’ gear, including hoodies, online and at retail locations in the metro area.
Online retailers include NBA.com and Fanatics.com with t-shirts starting under $20 and other items include pennants, banners, decals, cups and mugs. Authentic championship gear is licensed as Denver Nuggets apparel, items and mementos. Shoppers should look for the trademark tag or logo.
Local big box and mall retailers, such as WalMart, Macy’s and Costco, among others, typically receive quick shipments of authentic championship gear, but the apparel tends to sell out quickly.
Licensed Merchandise means any goods or services bearing the Institution’s Trademarks or otherwise designated as licensed by the Institution’s Office of Trademark Management and Licensing.
Knockoff or bootlegged items are produced and sold, and are available, but such products could be inferior in quality and can not legally portray trademark-protected logos and images.
When fans buy official merchandise, they support a trusted and creative network that brings the items to market, according to Dual Wield Studio. “A significant amount of time, effort, and money goes into creating the products that they want you to love, and to make sure those products meet their rigid specifications.”
