Despite very low temperatures, snow and wind, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Marade made its way through Denver on January 15, 2024. The schedule of events was shortened due to weather conditions. After being pushed back a half hour, the opening ceremony kicked off at 10 a.m. at the City Park Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and flowed west on East Colfax Avenue to Civic Center Park. Closings ceremonies and a resource fair at Civic Center Park were canceled, as well as the Dr. King Legacy Bike Ride.
